A reporter asked about the ban on 43 mobile apps from China announced by India.Zhao Lijian said that China is seriously concerned about the relevant Indian statement. The spokesperson of the Chinese Embassy in India has already made a statement. Since June this year, for four times in a row, India has banned China-backed mobile phone applications under the pretext of safeguarding national security. This obviously violates market principles and WTO rules, and seriously undermines the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies. China is firmly opposed to this.

Zhao lijian pointed out that the Chinese government always requires Chinese enterprises to carry out foreign cooperation on the basis of abiding by international rules and local laws and regulations. The Indian government has the responsibility to protect the legitimate rights and interests of international investors, including Chinese enterprises, in accordance with market principles. The essence of China-India economic and trade cooperation is mutual benefit and win-win. India should immediately correct this discriminatory practice so as to avoid greater harm to bilateral cooperation. The Indian side should immediately correct this discriminatory practice so as to avoid further harm to bilateral cooperation.India has banned 118 more Chinese apps, including mobile game and WeChat.

India has another move to crack down on Chinese companies. New Delhi: The Indian government has banned 118 Chinese mobile apps, AFP reported on September 2.According to ANI News, India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEIT) issued a notice on September 2, banning 118 Chinese apps that are “suspected of engaging in activities endangering India’s sovereignty and (territorial) integrity, India’s defence, national security and public order”. India’s Financial Express newspaper reported that the Indian government had banned 59 Chinese apps on June 29, and another 47 a month later. So far, the Indian government has banned 224 Chinese apps.It is worth noting that before the government announced the latest action, western China war zone, a spokesman for shui-li zhang senior colonel spoke in August 31 on sino-indian border situation, points out that on August 31, troops destroyed early multi-level talks meeting to reach a consensus, in class and hunan near shore, thermal qin mountain again illegally cross the line of control, a defiant, caused the tense border. China is strongly opposed to the Indian move, which grossly violates China’s territorial sovereignty, seriously undermines peace and stability in the China-India border areas, reneges on its commitments and betrays its loyalty. We solemnly request the Indian side to immediately withdraw its illegal occupation and control forces, strictly control and restrain its frontline troops, earnestly abide by its commitments and avoid further escalation of the situation. The Chinese military is taking necessary countermeasures and will closely follow the developments to resolutely safeguard China’s territorial sovereignty and peace and stability in border areas.

India has been cracking down on Chinese companies since a border clash in June. In June, the Indian government also banned 59 Chinese apps, including TikTok, WeChat and weibo, for “security” reasons, arguing that they engaged in activities detrimental to India’s sovereignty, defence, national security and public order. However, after a great deal of attention on the so-called “security” issue, some Indian media have begun to focus on the negative impact of the move: the Indian Express said it could deprive “Indians who create and work on these platforms” of income and jobs; New Delhi TV also said the ban would cast a shadow over some celebrity accounts and government agency accounts on platforms such as TikTok.

The ban on 59 chinese-backed mobile apps, including WeChat, by the Indian government on June 29 has seriously damaged the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies, said ambassador ji rong, a spokesman for the Chinese embassy in India. The Chinese side has lodged solemn representations with the Indian side and asked the Indian side to correct its wrong approach.I would like to reiterate that the Chinese government always requires Chinese enterprises to carry out foreign cooperation on the basis of abiding by international rules and local laws and regulations. The Indian government has the responsibility to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of international investors, including Chinese companies, in accordance with market principles. Practical cooperation between China and India is mutually beneficial and win-win, and the pattern of such cooperation is artificially damaged, which in fact does not serve India’s own interests. China will also take necessary measures to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies.

For India to block dozens of APP in China, on June 30, foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian once said: China’s fascination with Indian relevant announcement said, is to verify, the Chinese government always require Chinese companies comply with the international rules and local laws and regulations on the basis of foreign cooperation, the Indian government has the responsibility according to the market principle of maintaining the legitimate rights and interests of international investors, including Chinese companies. Practical cooperation between China and India is mutually beneficial and win-win, and the pattern of such cooperation is artificially damaged, which does not actually serve India’s own interests.
